Auckland Festival of Photography June 2012
This year's festival is just a few months away and is shaping up to be another great Auckland regionwide exposition of photography, in all its forms and genres. In 36 Signature exhibitions & events and 60 Fringe exhibitions, over 400 professional and amateur photographers' work will be on display, along with our excellent national and international speakers in our Talking Culture series. Next month is the official launch of our 2012 Programme so keep an eye out on our website and in your local galleries, libraries, cafes, community centres etc for our printed Programme sometime after 12th April.

Don't miss the amazing work on display at the Auckland Art Gallery in the Degas to Dali exhibition. This is an excellent tour through some of the great Modernist works http://www.aucklandartgallery.com/degas-to-dali/welcome
On until the 25th March is the Harbourview Sculpture Trail, an exhibition of sculpture displayed along a trail through salt marsh and pond areas of Harbourview Walkway on Te Atatu Peninsula. On the trail, look out for our Bev's (Fringe and Marketing Coordinator) work. Just $10 for adults and $5 for children, all proceeds go to Hospice West Auckland. Bev Goodwin has work on show at Art in the Woolshed at Tawharanui Regional Park til 18th March too. Follow Takatu Road after Matakana or just Google it.
Asia Pacific Photoforum
Our Asia Pacific Photoforum partner FotoFreo in Western Australia starts next week on 17 March. Also finalists of the newly announced Portrait Prize by the Queensland Festival of Photography can be seen here. And only two months until Head On Festival in Sydney launches.
