Our new look Festival programme celebrates the 10th annual Auckland Festival of Photography

Out Now!! The programme for the 10th annual Auckland Festival of Photography this June, is online and in hard copy across the Auckland region. The 2013 Auckland Festival of Photography kicks off  with our Response - Talking Culture Symposium,  a two day symposium (June 1 & 2, Auckland Art Gallery Auditorium) exploring photographers responses to natural disasters. Response  includes the work of Magnum UK’s Chris Steele-Perkins, and features presentations from Andrew Quilty, and Giles Crook (Aus), Kit Wise (UK), Fofoga Setoga-Tuala (Samoa), Michel Varisco (US) and  Allan McDonald and Richard Mahoney (New Zealand). Thanks to HP and Creative New Zealand.

More gems can be seen in our Annual Fine Arts Commission - Jennifer Mason, Signature Exhibitions, win some great Nikon prizes on Nikon Auckland Photo DayFestival Tuesday Circuit and Fringe exhibitions. Full programme online or at a gallery/venue near you.

Reel Brazil Screenings -  Found Memories April 20th, 24th

You are invited to join the Festival team - and obtain your copy of the 2013 festival programme - at the joint Auckland Festival of Phtoograpby and Reel Brazil film screenings of  Found Memories, on April 20 6.30pm and 24 8.15pm at Newmarket’s Rialto cinema. For more information on tickets here.
