From London to the Bush: Born and raised in south London, Sam Harris is a self-taught photographer. A visual presentation covering his career as a music photographer in London, his move towards documentary photography and then why he left it all behind to travel with the family (in India and Australia) and focus on personal diary work, eventually settling in the forest in the south west of Western Australia. 45 min digital slideshow, followed by an informal chat with Sam. Don't miss this presentation.

Behind the Lens: Capturing iconic images at the Olympic and Paralympic Games
Power. Beauty. Athletic prowess. The Olympic Games has generated some of the most enduring and iconic images in sport. As they gear up for London 2012, New Zealand-based Getty Images sports photographers Phil Walter and Hannah Johnston talk about their experiences covering past Olympics and Paralympics, and the iconic images they have created.
Hannah and Phil will present their best images from past Games, discussing the story behind the image as they go. They will cover the equipment used, the process of editing and delivering images to Getty Images customers within a matter of minutes, as well as event highlights.

Pacific Camerawork: Ron Brownson, Senior Curator New Zealand and Pacific art at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki speaks on Pacific camerawork.
Thomas Andrew was New Zealand's first offshore photographer, while Greg Semu is a recent expatriot. Much has happened to Pacific photography in the century that separates their careers. Ron will overview key Pacific practitioners, including Janet Lilo, Edith Amituanai, Tanu Gago, Shigeyuki Kihara and Jeremy Leatinu'u.

Natalie Marshall is Curator of Photographs at the Alexander Turnbull Library, the National Library of New Zealand. She will give an illustrated talk on the Library's photograph collection, which focuses on New Zealand, the Pacific and Antarctica.
