The nature of the community in Huia is such that there is direct communication and relationships between the majority of residents. This is a global small town, an amazing microcosm of modern New Zealand. Huia has attracted people from all walks of life and from all over the globe. Yet despite the diversity it is easy to imagine that we could link the entire community in no more than two steps, or "Two degrees of separation".
