Signature Series is a suite of silver based images taken over a three month period in late 1975 by American-born photographer John Fields.

Originally trained as a scientific photographer, Fields was employed at the University of Auckland Medical School where he was responsible for many innovations in forensic photography. Alongside his university work Fields documented the passage of New Zealand into a modern state by photographing roading developments and heritage buildings.

The works in this series are intimate portraits Fields made of the interiors of friends’ and colleagues’ houses and is curated by David Langman.

Curators Floor Talk, 1pm Sat 6 June.
