Esther Hovers is a Dutch artist who graduated with a BA in photography from the Royal Academy of Art, the Hague, in 2015. Since graduating her work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions, including Circulation(s) Festival in Paris, C/O Berlin Foundation and Foam, Amsterdam - as well as in publications such as the Washington Post and M, Magazine du Monde. In her practice Esther Hovers investigates how power, politics and control are exercised through urban planning and the use of public space.
In 2018 Esther Hovers will be an artist-in-residence at the ISCP in Brooklyn, NY.
