The photo series Cmd Shift 4 deals with the use of screenshots in a digitized world.
"During the lockdown in Germany, I portrayed the participants of many zoom meetings via screenshot to remove them from their virtual grid and the false impression of community. Applying a complex process of physical translation, I re-materialized the collected screenshots on analogue photo paper. Hereby, I wanted to juxtapose the volatile and increasingly intransparent digital world with a longing for genuine, face-to-face interaction."
Bob Jones (Elisabeth Eichler) studied Literature in Montpellier and Photography in Berlin and Leipzig. As an artist, translator and writer, she regularly moves places and exhibits all around the world.
