Dates for 2010 Auckland Festival of Photography are - Friday 4 June to 27 June 2010. The signature and fringe programmes will be launched in mid April. See here. Take part in our survey below;

The Auckland Festival of Photography is a signature visual arts event that treasures a city abundant with great photographic talent. This annual festival programmes a multitude of exhibitions and events, encouraging more people to celebrate the art of photography through free public access and is New Zealand's largest public photographic visual arts event.

Photography is a powerful visual art form that the Festival celebrates with CULTURE, IDENTITY, ART and PARTICIPATION events. The festival celebrates photography which reflects the vital personality of Auckland and invites all residents and visitors to experience this through the lens of the camera.

Auckland Photo Blog

The Auckland Photo Blog is committed to exploring and celebrating, through photography, the diverse cultures and communities of Auckland. Co-inciding with a month of exciting Pacific Island community events - including Pasifika at Western Springs as well as Polyfest in Manukau City -is.........our March theme Pasifika Piks.

Submitted photos may be taken at public Pacific Island events or alternatively, at home, school, sports games, family get togethers - anywhere at all provided the photo represents and celebrates Pacific Island people and culture in Auckland.

The winning photo will be selected by Oscar Kightley (Naked Samoans, bro'Town, Sione's Wedding) and will receive a prize pack including an Olympus camera. Supported by Auckland City Creative Communities, COGS, and North Shore City ARST. Camera prize sponsored by Olympus.
