Jago Neal; Karekare falls; We were spending boxing day at Karekare, which is a bit of a tradition in the family. We get together to have a picnic play games and pay our respects to relatives who have passed away and had their ashes scattered at Karekare. Some of those who haven't eaten too many cold turkey sandwiches make the walk to the falls and the really brave ones have a dip. I took this shot using a miniature effect on my Nikon. It was glorious day and the pohutukawa were looking stunning.
