Felix Wang: as above, so below: created as album covers and promotional imagery for underground rap artist Emperor C. The visual concept explores the tension between the conscious and unconscious mind, drawing from the psychological theories of Carl Jung. The artist himself represents the conscious self, while a shadowy black-clad figure embodies the unconscious. Inspired by horror cinema and psychological unease, the images aim to evoke tension, dread, and an unsettling atmosphere that reflects the fractured relationship between identity and the hidden self. All shots are set within Tāmaki Makaurau.
