Glamour Portraits from the collection of Keri de Carlo.
Hollywood has long been known as the 'dream factory' of the movie business. On screen and off the stars were fêted as icons of fame, glamour and wealth. Their allure was boosted by the Hollywood studio portrait, a souvenir photograph featuring the actor as an electric icon.
Keri de Carlo began collecting Hollywood portraits in the 1970s and became fascinated by what he describes as 'The Aura and the Mystery' of the stars. He has subsequently deposited several thousand items of memorabilia with the Film Archive.
