Momento Mori means the artistic or symbolic reminder of the inevitability of death. This exhibition seeks to recapture the beauty of the livings’ remains through the exploration of how objects of death are connected to the passage of life. This exhibition suspends decay and gives permanency and beauty to objects of death, enlightening death as a transitionary stage of beauty, as opposed to the usual macabre or ghoulish portrayal of bones, body and skin.
Attendees will be witness to photographs being captured and printed within the exhibition allowing the viewer to witness and engage with the work throughout its creation.
